A Season for Nonviolence

Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island will be participating in the Season for Nonviolence which runs from January 30 to April 4. A Season for Nonviolence was the created by Dr. Arun Gandhi, grandson of M. K. Gandhi, and his wife Sunanda Gandhi when they observed that 1998 represented the 50th and 30th anniversaries, respectively, of the assassinations of M. K. (Mahatma) Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. They created the observance of the 64 days between these memorials, through daily personal practice and community commitment.
