Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island

Strong families...strong communities...safe kids

Parties for Prevention

What: Host a party to support Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island and the child abuse prevention programs and services that they provide to the community.

You can host a party of your own design (a cocktail party, a Barbeque, a high tea….your choice) or you could host a sales party with a licensed vendor (a list of partnering vendors will be provided)

Concept: a host or hostess will invite friends, family and co-workers to join them in raising awareness and money for child abuse prevention at a party of their choosing.

Parties can be any sort of gathering in someone’s home such as a cocktail party, barbeque gathering, dinner party, high tea, etc….or it can be a home party or catalog show with an established vendor such as Tupperware, AVON, Wildtree Herb, Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Silpada Jewelry, Partylite Candles, Vantel Pearls, and more.

The vendors will donate a specific amount of the proceeds to Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island in accordance with their specific company rules and guidelines, and/or in accordance with an agreement between the vendor and the host/hostess.

The host or hostess can also run a specific raffle as a part of their party to raise additional cash for Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island.

Any expenses that the host or hostess incur in the course of putting on their party will be considered in-kind contributions and we will provide a letter stating the same for their personal tax purposes.

Hosts and hostesses will be able to access an online party toolkit that will include a sample invitation, party ideas and planning forms, documentation of tax-exempt status for soliciting donations, information about Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island, and talking points for the host to make a mini presentation to their guests about the value of their contributions.

Hosts and hostesses are invited to share party pictures and party attendee lists so that PCARI can also send thank you’s.
