Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island

Strong families...strong communities...safe kids

Advocacy Action Center

A central theme in child abuse prevention work is the involvement of the whole community. Child maltreatment is too complex a problem for any one profession or any one sector of society alone to prevent. Together, we can be the energy required to create change!

GET INVOLVED TODAY!

State of Rhode Island General Assembly

You can view bill text, bill status, general laws and the daily calendar at the RI General Assemebly website. Concerned citizens can become an advocate for children by reading proposed legislation affecting children and families and following up with a letter to their local representative to express their support or concern.

Click here to go to the General Assembly website.

Prevent Child Abuse America Legislative Action Center

Prevent Child Abuse America is committed to promoting legislation, policies and programs that help to prevent child abuse and neglect, support healthy childhood development, and strengthen families.

The Advocacy Program operates on the national level. PCAA monitors critical legislation that impacts children and families; works to obtain and maintain funding for prevention programs; and collaborates with organizations, community leaders and public policy makers.

Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children

CASA workers are concerned citizens who volunteer their time to advocate for abused and neglected children who are removed from their homes. CASA volunteers work with the family, court and DCYF to ensure the best outcome for the child.
